A Second Life for Beautifully Made Accessories
At Misty’s Closet, we believe thoughtfully designed pieces should last.
Dogs grow, their needs change, and sometimes their size changes too. But a well-made accessory doesn’t suddenly lose its beauty or usefulness just because a pup has outgrown it.
That idea inspired something we call Second Walk.
Second Walk is a small but meaningful part of our philosophy: creating space for accessories that are still ready for their next adventure.
Because beautifully made things deserve more than just one walk.
Misty’s Closet designs are made with durability, structure, and timeless style in mind, many pieces still have years of wear left in them even after a dog’s size changes.
Where Second Walk Pieces Come From
Second Walk items may come from several places within the Misty’s Closet ecosystem.
Studio Pieces
Accessories used for photography, fittings, or display at events.
Archive Pieces
Designs from past Misty’s Closet collections that are no longer in active production.
Sample Pieces
Early prototypes or design samples created during the development process.
Community Returns
Occasionally, a Misty’s Closet customer may return a Signature Collection piece that their pup has outgrown. If the item meets our standards, it may be refreshed and given a Second Walk.
Our Standards
Every piece included in the Second Walk program must meet strict quality standards.
Each item is:
• Carefully inspected for structure and durability
• Thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
• Evaluated for hardware strength and fabric integrity
• Approved only if it meets Misty’s Closet’s design and quality expectations
Pieces that do not meet these standards are not resold.
Second Walk is about extending the life of beautifully made accessories, not circulating worn-out products.
To maintain quality and hygiene standards, Second Walk is currently limited to:
• Signature Collection collars
• Select harnesses or leashes
• Studio or archive pieces from Misty’s Closet
Items such as dog beds, toys, or heavily worn accessories are not accepted.
Returning a Piece for Second Walk
If your dog has outgrown a Misty’s Closet Signature Collection collar and you believe it may qualify for Second Walk, you’re welcome to contact us.
Pieces must be:
• authentic Misty’s Closet designs
• structurally sound
• in good overall condition
Items are reviewed individually, and acceptance into the Second Walk program is not guaranteed.
Looking Ahead
Second Walk is still evolving.
As the Misty’s Closet community grows, we hope this initiative will become a thoughtful way to celebrate longevity, craftsmanship, and the stories that well-loved accessories carry with them.
If you have a Misty’s Closet piece your pup has outgrown, you’re welcome to reach out. Select items may qualify for a Second Walk if they meet our quality standards.
